Basic Linux skills are required for navigating directory, searching for files, executing applications in Linux etc. You are not required to have advanced Linux administration skills to progress in the class.
Many students who attend the class do not have Linux skills but they still enjoy the class and learn Linux on the way. However, this may slow the class pace. We would prefer that you take the time to "play" with Linux before class. There are many online resources available.
In other words, it is OK if you do not know Linux to enrol. Although you will appreciate the experience more if you have basic skills.
